When to Perform Maintenance on Your Website

As a webmaster, if you run several sites, and if you host for several large companies, you have to make sure that your database is up to date, you have the latest software and upgrades available, and that you maintain the site up to date, so that all the companies using your services, will also have the msot up to date information on their sites. So, rather than update once a month, or even once a week, you have to make sure that the site is constantly being updated, that you have the newest updates available to your site, and that you keep on top of all the sites that your company hosts, in order to ensure that they have the most up to date information on their sites as well.

Maintenance also has to be performed when backing up takes place, or if something happens to go down for some time with a server. Once the server is back up and running, as a webmaster, you have to make sure that you refresh and make sure that the site is up to date with the latest updates, and the latest sources avaialable to it on the web. So, although there is no set time period as to when you have to update a site, instead, as a webmaster, you have to perform the services, whenever something new or a new update comes out and is available to you.

So, when you serve several individual companies, and when you want to ensure that everything is up to date, you have to make sure that you maintain, and that you ensure that all servers on your sites are up to date. This will ensure that all sites being run by your services are also up to date, and have all the latest updates.
